International Conference on Safe Transition to Artificial Intelligence: Spotlight on CEO of CTB Holding

The recent “International Conference on Safe Transition to Artificial Intelligence in Systems Integration” held in Muscat, Oman, brought together experts and industry leaders to discuss the future of artificial intelligence (AI) and its safe applications in various fields. Among the featured speakers was Mr. Mazin Ali Khalfan Al Wahibi, CEO of CTB Holding, a conglomerate that controls companies such as CTB Finance, CTB Venture, OmanBrazil and the Wahibi Foundation.

In his presentation, Mr. Al Wahibi addressed the implications of AI in the financial and investment sectors, emphasizing the importance of a safe and ethical transition to these emerging technologies. He highlighted how CTB Holding has implemented AI solutions to streamline processes, improve customer experience and identify market opportunities with greater accuracy.

The event also resulted in several significant recommendations, including:

• Developing Detailed Models: Creating models that demonstrate how AI tools, such as machine learning and big data analytics, can be integrated into government strategic planning, supporting decision-making with accurate insights.

• Establishing Performance Indicators: Defining clear metrics to assess the efficiency of public administrations before and after AI implementation, considering factors such as speed of response, quality of services and levels of security.

• Strengthening AI Infrastructure: Building a solid foundation for AI in public and private institutions, ensuring effective and sustainable implementation.

• Continuous Capacity Building: Continuous training of local professionals in AI technologies, in collaboration with national and international training institutions.

In addition, a youth platform, supported by Her Highness Dr. Khawla bint Al Jalanda Al Said, was proposed to bring together young Omanis interested in AI, offering them internationally recognized training and certifications.
